Direct Access

Direct access can streamline your road to recovery.

In Pennsylvania, direct access to physical therapy means that a prescription from your physician is not necessary to begin treatment. You may be treated by a direct access certified physical therapist for up to 30 calendar days prior to obtaining a prescription for therapy, streamlining your road to recovery. If physical therapy is still needed after 30 days, a prescription is required.

At that time, you can see your primary care physician or your specialist, or we can assist you in finding the specialist you need. At this time, Medicare still requires a prescription for physical therapy, but most other health insurances do cover direct access physical therapy.  Please call us to find out if direct access physical therapy is right for you.
